With the advent of the Internet in the 90s there was the question about the ongoing viability of our business model. I recall giving a speech at an industry forum in Europe on this subject where I spoke about the importance of value addition, cultural knowledge, personal interaction and relationships in our business. I believed that our role would sustain despite the Internet making the world a smaller place.

Most people present were not convinced but fortunately time has proved me right and the Sertanejo Alimentos S/A employees who have worked with us over the years played a vital role in the realization of that vision. We are a people's company where our most valuable assets walk in early in the morning and sometimes leave late at night and it is their dedication and spirit that has brought Sertanejo Alimentos S/A to where it is today.
